Pre-Home Ownership Counseling Seminar provides information on the home buying decision, credit and budget counseling, selecting a home, choosing real estate professional, sales contracts and financing the home purchase.  We examine the pros and cons of home ownership, costs of home ownership and how much home you can afford to purchase; explore your credit history and how to fix problems, making a budget and sticking to it; how to select a home for you and your family, selecting a real estate professional to help you in finding your new home, the sales contract and how to make counter offers and explain the financing process from loan application to closing procedures.  Safety issues, maintaining your home and house keeping issues are also discussed.  Materials on all these subjects and more are provided for the participant to take home to review.
