About

Aalhakoffichi' "a place for healing," serves Chickasaw, and other Native American, youth and their families in need of support and recovery services stemming from significant mental health, substance abuse and family relational issues.

Eligibility
  • Chickasaw citizen or member of a federally recognized tribe
  • 14 to 19-years-old
Our Facility

Just 63 miles south of Oklahoma City, the Aalhakoffichi' adolescent transitional living facility is located on 2 acres in south central Oklahoma's Chickasaw Country. Nestled in the small-town of Pauls Valley, the tranquil and idyllic setting provides a healthy environment where young people can focus on treatment and recovery.

A co-educational facility for youth ages 14 to 19, Aalhakoffichi' is a 24-bed residential living center that features gender and age specific, semi-private sleeping and bathing quarters, a computer lab, work out equipment, an outdoor sports area and a large kitchen. Meals at Aalhakoffichi' are served family dining style and developed by a trained dietician.

Our Treatment

A program derived from family systems theory, Aalhakoffichi' offers a trauma-informed, culturally competent treatment designed to cultivate and nourish the four pillars of Chickasaw wellness: body, mind, spirit and culture.

Our multi-level program provides a unique opportunity for adolescents and their families to make important transitions into more interdependent living within the context of the tribe.
