Services Provided
To Individuals
Job Development Services are available to anyone living anywhere within the Chickasaw Nation Service area.
The Job Developer works one on one with prospective employees to help them gain the skills and abilities needed to find, secure and be successful in the employment area of their choice.
The Job Developer also provides an intensive three-day Job Club each month that focuses on teaching participants the skills needed to attain and maintain suitable employment.
Participants learn strategies for successful career searching, application completion, resume writing, interviewing skills, proper appearance and hygiene, appropriate work attendance and punctuality, getting along with co-workers and supervisors, and much more.
For more information or to enroll in an upcoming Job Club, please contact the Job Development Program by telephone at 580-421-7711 or email at JobDevelopment@Chickasaw.net.
Services Provided
To Employers
The Job Development Services Program provides valuable services to employers seeking to hire quality employees who are ready for employment.
Rather than going through the normal, extremely expensive and lengthy hiring process, many employers choose to contact the Job Development Services Program to see if they are currently working with any prospective employees who might be interested in an open position they are seeking to fill. Of course, all decisions regarding offers of employment are at the sole discretion of the employer.
All prospective employees who work with the Job Development Services Program team must successfully complete Job Club prior to being considered for recommendation by the Job Developer.
The Job Development Services Program will continue to work with employees for 90 days after their employment begins to ensure that the new employee has everything he/she needs to be successful in their new job.
Success Story
In April 2010, Judy attended the Chickasaw Nation Job Club where she gained valuable skills that helped her attain her current job with the Chickasaw Nation. She especially benefited from the mock interviews where she honed her interviewing skills.
Judy says, “thanks to the Job Club, I was able to succeed in my goal of working for the Chickasaw Nation and giving back to my tribe which has helped me so much over the years!”
