The Chickasaw Nation considers its elders “living treasures” and works hard to provide for them the best service and care possible. By offering programs and services which are focused on all aspects of their lives, the tribe remains devoted to the health and well-being of its elders.

The Chickasaw Nation chore service program provides assistance with basic housekeeping duties for eligible Chickasaw elders. Required form is available at the above address, any senior nutrition center and/or can be completed via telephone. An applicant can expect a Chickasaw Nation Division on Aging specialist to make an initial home visit to assess the services needed. If approved, the client will be notified.

• Citizenship card (client)

• Must be Chickasaw
• Must be 60 years of age or older
• Must reside within the Chickasaw Nation

• Client must be at home at time of service
• Client will be assessed on a biannual basis
• Client must rely on others for at least two activities of daily living needs
• Verification that services are not being duplicated (home health, hospice, other)
• Services requested must be chores the clients themselves are unable to do
• Priority is given to clients who live alone
