Anyone interested in learning the southeastern songs and shell shaking may attend dance troupe practices the first and third Thursday of each month, starting at 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Experienced dancers and shell shakers will be there to teach, should you be willing to learn. Occasionally, the practice time will change according to different events. Practice and meeting usually take place in the Chickasaw Nation gym, located downstairs in the Community Building. The Chickasaw Nation Headquarters is at the intersection of Arlington and Mississippi streets. Please contact the cultural resources department for more information at (580) 332-8685.
