About
Legal services are available to divisions or departments within the Chickasaw Nation. Established in 2001, the division of justice provides counsel and prosecutors with its tribal courts. This department consults with the three branches of government within the Chickasaw Nation on a wide variety of issues.
As full-time legal counsel for the Chickasaw Nation, the justice department does not offer legal services to individual Chickasaws. Citizens in need of legal advice are referred to Oklahoma Indian Legal Services.
