Elderly Assistance Program
About
The Chickasaw Nation considers its elders “living treasures” and works hard to provide for them the best service and care possible. By offering programs and services which are focused on all aspects of their lives, the tribe remains devoted to the health and well-being of its elders.
The Chickasaw Nation desires to promote energy programs for Chickasaw elders, 60 years of age and older. The focus is on Chickasaw elders who are not covered by other services and have no other way of obtaining the assistance they need.This program provides one-time assistance for winter heating and one-time assistance for summer cooling. Utilities covered may include gas, water, electricity or deposits. Required application is available at any Area Office.
Community Health Representatives (CHRs) are also available to assist elder applicants, if needed. CHRs provide the following help to:
- Obtain applications
- Complete applications
- Submit applications to the appropriate area office
You Provide
- Copy of Chickasaw citizenship card
- Copy of Social Security card
- Address verification
- Most current utility bill with a balance
- CDIB
Eligibility
- Must be Chickasaw
- 60 years of age or older
- Must live outside the boundaries of the Chickasaw Nation
