Council House Museum Seeks Historical Items

The Chickasaw Council House Museum in Tishomingo, Okla. is currently seeking donations for its collection. 

All items donated should pertain to the history or culture of the Chickasaw people. 

Examples include pashofa pots, ball sticks, bows, pottery, baskets, traditional clothing, beadwork, books, newspaper articles, paintings, prints, artwork, allotment patents, other paperwork and photographs.

Photographs and items from the Burney Institute, original enrollees, Chickasaw churches, schools and families are of special interest.

Donated items would be kept safe and secure for generations to come.
