Are you a registered Chickasaw voter?

Voting is a privilege, and civic responsibility as a Chickasaw citizen. Voting is a way to honor Chickasaw ancestors and take pride in the historic perseverance of the Chickasaw Nation. Your vote does count!

"We have a privilege, a duty and a responsibility," said Oklahoma Representative and former Chickasaw Legislator Lisa Billy. "We need to pass that heritage onto our children. As adults, it's our job to instill, within our children, that sense of pride and accomplishment and a sense of knowing that one vote really does make a difference."

Registering to vote in Chickasaw elections is an easy process. You can register online, send an email, send a letter or even call the election office.

Once a registered voter, tribal election ballots are mailed to voters during election periods. The process is easy! Voters simply receive the ballot in the mail, mark it, sign it and send it back in the provided envelope and no postage is necessary.

The last day to register to vote in this year's tribal elections is July 5.

Remember, your vote does make a difference!
