Native American youth 10 to 19 years of age interested in attending the Chickasaw Summer Arts Academy should attend the orientation and pre-registration session 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22 at Faust Hall, East Central University in Ada.
Conducted June 5 through 16, 2006 at ECU, CSAA provides training to Native American young people interested in music composition, vocal music, visual, literary or performing arts.
Renowned professional artists, composers, authors, playwrights, choreographers, dancers, actors, directors and others provide instruction and guidance to participants.
An arts extravaganza and reception, including a gallery displaying visual and literary artwork, will showcase the students’ efforts.
