Chickasaw Nation Medical Center patients and visitors will have an easier and quicker access to the hospital with the new free valet parking service.
Introduced in December, the customer-oriented service will make the patients and visitors "feel special," according to Jimmy Tignor, administrative support services director for the division of health.
The new service, provided by the Massachusetts-based company Curbside Hospitality, is available 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Patients and visitors can pull up in front of the hospital and clinic entrances, where they will be greeted by friendly Curbside representatives, who will assist them out of their cars and park their cars.
"They (patients and visitors) can just get out and walk right in," Mr. Tignor said.
The new service will especially benefit the elders, according to Mr. Tignor.
"We serve a lot of elders here and that's a long ways to walk," he said, referring to the Medical Center's large parking lot.
In addition to parking the cars, the Curbside representatives will also assist the patients with wheelchairs and walkers, hand out coloring books and crayolas to children, wash the windshields of the cars they parked as well as hand out holiday-themed items such as flags on Independence Day and flowers on Mother's Day.
