Car Seat Safety Check

Sulphur, Okla.—The Chickasaw Nation Head Start Center in Sulphur will host a free Car Seat Safety Check on Wednesday, November 14 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Children will be measured and weighed, and car seats will be inspected to ensure proper fit, installation and safety.

Open to the public, this event features trained installers who will conduct inspections based on National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recommendations.

According to the NHTSA, rear-facing car seats are recommended from birth to three-years-old, unless height and weight limit has been met or exceeded. Forward-facing seats are suitable for four to twelve-year-olds.
