Chickasaw Community Center Underway
ADA – Construction is underway on the new 10,800 square foot Chickasaw Community Center to be constructed at 700 N. Mississippi.
“This new facility will provide an excellent setting for a variety of tribal and family-oriented events,” said Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby. “We believe everyone in the community will benefit from this new center.”
The new facility will include a banquet hall which will easily accommodate 500 people.
A large conference room in the west end of the new facility can easily be divided into two smaller conference rooms which will each seat up to 70.
Other amenities include a full kitchen, catering staging area, offices and a large lobby area.
Outdoors, the facility will have parking for 150 vehicles, a horseshoe pit, volley ball court and basketball goal.
Estimated date of completion is Feb. 2007.
