About

The road to work program provides transportation to and from work for qualifying Native Americans and the general public. Required forms can be obtained by contacting the transportation services office. Participants must call the phone number above between 10 a.m. and noon to reserve a seat for the following day.

Road to Work provides a low-cost alternative for rural commuters dealing with rising gas prices. Buses pick up riders at central locations in each community served and stops at the place of work of each rider. Shuttle busses run Monday through Friday beginning at 7 a.m. each day. The east route stops in Allen, Tupelo and Stonewall. The south route takes riders to the Chickasaw Cultural Center in Sulphur, Okla. Buses currently pick up riders at 5 p.m. for the return trip.

Road to Work is open to the public. Riders are required to complete client information forms. Riders with Chickasaw citizenship or CDIB ride for $1, all other individuals ride for $2.
